hi all!
sarah here! i’ve never actually introduced myself, so here it goes.
i’ve recently graduated from Villa Maria College of Buffalo, NY with my BFA (bachelor of fine arts) in Fashion Design. i met the love of my life, Christiaan, via tumblr and we decided to create this blog to sell things we make - partly because we love to make things, and also to help us raise money to fund our long distance love trips/me moving to Illinois (where he lives).
i’ve been posting a few “salvage” items and i plan to actually “stitch” some things in the near future! (or whenever i finish setting up my sewing area.) we hope you enjoy our stuff, and if there are any questions, comments, or suggestions… feel free to hit the “ask” button and speak your mind! :)

and for my next upcycle project… four different sized studs and a little black velvet purse. I’m also thinking of replacing the black strap with a silver chain that matches the studs. :) (Taken with Instagram)
this little guy is 99% complete. just not sure how long to make the chain strap.

here is something i am almost finished with, for those of you who don’t follow my personal blog. more to come! :) also, check out the boyfriend and i’s DIY blog - salvage and stitch!
almost ready for sale. :)
Handmade Guitar picks by Salvage and Stitch. These are made from a sheet of .80mm white acetate guitar pick material. The thickness is the equivalent of a medium guitar pick. All picks are designed, hand stamped, and hand cut and smoothed by us. To get the best wear, these picks should be played ink side up. Great sound and one of a kind design.
1 card (4 picks) = $5.00
Once they are on etsy I will post the link but for now, please reblog and message me if you want a set.

Hello everyone, Christiaan here! Welcome to Salvage and Stitch designs. We are an online shop dedicated to hand-made clothes, accessories, and other miscellaneous items as well as upcycled clothing and items. Sarah and I will be posting pictures of product here and also on our etsy. The majority of the items in the shop will be Sarah’s hand-sewn clothes and accessories. Sarah graduated in Spring of 2012 from Villa Marie College in Buffalo, NY with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. I am not saying this just because I am love with the girl… I am saying this because it is beyond true. She is one the hardest working and most talented people I know when it comes to fashion design. So if you want some stellar craftsmanship and awesome fashion then be on the lookout for some kick ass jackets, shirts, and more.
Most of the stuff I am selling will be random handmade items or cool finds.
I will post a link to the etsy once everything is up and running.
Thanks everyone!
Christiaan.
